A Little Bit About Me, the Trainer!

I have long had a passion for all things 4-legged, especially the canine kind! A graduate of the Animal and Equine Science program at the University of Maryland, I went on to work as a veterinary technician for several years after obtaining my bachelor’s degree. I always loved to be involved with animal rescue and volunteered as a foster and adoption coordinator for Operation Paws for Homes for quite some time. My interest and growing knowledge of dog behavior quickly moved me into a position as the training coordinator for the rescue, answering questions from fosters and adopters about their new best friends! This, and some help from my own dogs, sparked the passion about training and eventually led me to make the move to a full-time career in the training field.

I am an AKC CGC and Trick Dog evaluator, and a Professional Member of the International Association of Canine Professionals.  I also recently completed Pedestal Training Certification as well as Canine Conditioning and Fitness Coach Certification through Do More With Your Dog. 

I have completed the CGC, several AKC obedience titles, Rally Obedience titles, Weight pull titles, and trick dog titles with my dogs Boomer, Flirt, Kratos and Yoshi. I have also appeared on QVC with my husky, Kiba. ( You can read all about the PACK members here!)

I am so excited to continue my career by working with families to help make their dogs the balanced, happy, well-behaved family members they always imagined!
