FAQ

What are your training methods?

As our training will be tailored to you and your dog’s individual needs, our methods will be chosen based on what your dog responds to best. No tool, humanely used, is counted out. This may include food, clickers, martingale collars, slip collars, pinch collar, praise, petting, play with you, play with toys, remote collars, leashes, long lines, etc. If you have any specific questions about methodology, please feel free to contact us directly!

How do I sign up or schedule lessons?

You can schedule a lesson via email or phone. You can also get in contact through the form on the CONTACT page of this site!

can my whole family come to training?

Absolutely! Having a dog is a family affair and it is essential for all members to be involved in the training process. Any children handling a dog must have an adult present also capable of handling the dog for safety reasons, but we welcome everyone to join in the fun with us!

how long will it take for my dog to be trained?

Dogs aren’t computers and training isn’t software to be installed. During your initial consultation and lessons we will create a training plan that will outline our expected timeline. However, much of this will be dependent on your commitment to continuing the work we do in lessons at home. It will be essential to your success. I am here to help and support you along the way!

Will you travel to my home to train my dog?

At this time, I do not offer packages of training only in your home. I find that home can often be one of the most distracting places for a dog and the family to learn (this is especially true of the humans). Lessons primarily take place together at my home (where we have access to both an indoor and outdoor training area); after an initial period of learning, we will potentially take field trips to work in real world scenarios; this may include dog friendly stores, parks, or possibly your home. (Travel radius applies.)
